Moxie is awesome. I’m a /moxiemaxi and I love that everyone can get some rewards for their natural behavior. Please beware that as power badges officially sunset, the spam machine learning is getting more intense. Do not change your behavior for moxie. Be you. Be authentic. Once you are marked as spam, you’ll get zero moxie. Don’t ruin your account chasing something.

That last sentence is very true pichi, many of my friends have already received spam labels and they are completely invisible to other people :( But until now I don't understand why they get a spam label, what is assessed when someone gets a spam label Is this because it behaves like a bot? or replying too much

This is just my opinion but I’m reading between the lines of what Dan has been saying. He wants to ensure people who use Warpcast have a fantastic experience. He doesn’t want his top content creators and builders to leave. He wants them to spend a lot of time here. If they open and app and dislike all the notifications that are irrelevant, they will leave. New ML algorithms are looking for spam. You have to step back and imagine how a robot sees your casting behavior. Are 80% of your casts original or are they other people’s frames? Do people engage with 80% of your replies or ignore them. The machine judges harshly.

Oh geeze, if you are judged on people engaging with your replies, then it's going to get tough for those of us who aren't big accounts soon. I've already seen my social rank go down and lost my power badge because, since Moxie came out, bigger accounts are not interacting with smaller ones anymore. My replies go unacknowledged even when they are relevant and thoughtful, mostly because other people are farming, I think. I hope the ML knows the difference between someone genuinely trying to have a conversation and being ignored and someone just replying to get some Moxie.

The algo isn’t that smart. Look at casts through the eyes of a robot.

So what would you suggest for someone in my position of not having a large following and social rank? I try to participate in the conversations started by big accounts when I have something relevant to offer, but 95% of the time my reply is ignored because they aren't following me and there are a lot of other replies so it's deprioritized for them (this conversation is obviously in the 5%!). So the ML would look at that and conclude I'm spamming since I am not getting responses. That means I should never even TRY to talk to people who aren't already following me. I can never expand my circle by trying to make a connection on a shared interest. I can't share my thoughts unless I'm sure they will be seen and liked or I will be labeled spam and even further suppressed. It's just frustrating to be corralled on a platform that is supposed to literally about social networking connections. I'm fine with battling bots, but the "spamming" thing is relative and should be left to everyone to deal with on their own.

I’d join hupersubs and DAOs with gated chats. Build relationships there and then take them public. Also join /tavern and /farhouse sessions and say hi so people know you are real. They will follow you and then when they see you name, they will respond. And don’t change your pfp. I am so visual. I know everyone by pfp and when they change it I get so confused.

To add on, I'd recommend finding an medium-big account you resonate with (and that engages with their community) and developing a relationship with them over time. Contribute to their project, interact regularly, etc. The top accounts are overwhelmed with notifications, but the next tier down are very accessible and in my experience quite willing to engage with people who are earnest.

But before that, I think we have to make our timeline interesting and able to be followed by other people. Again, this all starts from what we create
