In all the years since iPhone came out, no one has figured out the Spreadsheet and very few have tried. Using sheets on mobile works but is terrible. Calendars, contacts, email, docs, messaging, group chat and all the other usual suspects have been tried but there are no fresh ideas on the mobile spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is the cornerstone of computing.

imo the best workflow is to have bespoke mobile friendly UIs catering to specific use cases that get dumped into spreadsheets always thought Glide was very cool https://www.glideapps.com/data-sources/excel now with AI tools Glide feels prolly unnecessary tho

I don’t think any app that improves by the amount of screen real estate, will ever be successful on mobile.

Airtable mobile app is closest I've seen, with rows modeled as cards, and full dataview as a scrollable modal Ultimately though, spreadsheets are one of those things I'd like to just work on inside a large screen, just like coding

Working on iPhone spreadsheet is actually a huge mess takes so much time I tried using to regulate my drug medication one time last year it got Messed up
