5 True universal basic income implies a post-scarcity future, which if attained, rules the concept of currency useless anyway. Anything else is attempted socialism with extra steps and extra consequences/opportunities for grift.

Socialism in the purest form is a utopic ideal that has never existed in practice, and in the larger pragmatic implementations, has been a net negative in the long term. Balanced ideals against laissez faire capitalism and social welfare would be a reasonable maximum, if people could actually agree what welfare is.
