at this rate by the summer CT is just gonna be Jesse tweeting "based builders build", Mert quote tweeting him yelling about how much faster it is to build on Solana, and AI slop bots in the comments section talking to each other

15 years? i think what happens in 15 years' time will make the idea of a government issued "global reserve currency" a relic

I don't have one – I'm saying that in 15 years the next step function change in humanity will have passed and the concept of a nation's currency going to X is meaningless

consider the step changes humanity has previously had: - barter system: items of explicit value exchanged (direct relationship) - coinage: physical tokens holding value through precious metal (first-order derivative) - notes: notes with corresponding collateral assets, becomes a measurement of the value of a nation (second-order derivative) - fiat: notes with no corresponding collateral, becomes a measurement of the value production of a nation (third-order derivative) - crypto: tokens with no corresponding collateral, becomes a measurement of the shared value change across nations (fourth-order derivative) stretch your mind. What does a fifth-order derivative look like?

Decentralized Autonomous Value Units: Every individual is an independent entity, fully decentralized, with no regard for national boundaries or regulations. All transactions are free and intermediated by no one.🧐 🧐 🧐

Got an interesting response from Grok. Energy-Based Value Systems: With the rise of renewable energy and quantum computing, a fifth-order derivative could be based on the manipulation and exchange of energy potentials. Tokens might represent access to or control over energy states (e.g., quantum entanglement, fusion energy), with value determined by the system's ability to harness or redistribute universal energy resources. This would abstract value into a fundamental physical property, transcending national economies and even human consensus.

What’s interesting is your focus on the format (handshake, coins, notes, etc) or storehold of wealth. The other person might be thinking less about format and more on the geopolitical proxy for power. Just a thought… RE: What is the next step function? One shift could be the integration of money directly into human activity through AI-driven economies. A system where value is dynamically assigned based on real-time contributions—skills, data, and engagement—automatically recognized and rewarded without traditional markets or employment structures. Said differently, a shift from Shareholder Capitalism to Stakeholder Capitalism.

From an European perspective 1. Smaller groups formed larger groups to outcompete others. The result were nation states (eg Hanseburger tribe). There’s a current desire to live in homogenous circles, be it race or value delimited (wanting to live with those with whom you *identify* with) 2. People are either strongly for or against AI and its consequences for humanity’s position in the value creation chain. This preferences will be reflected in the value we put on humanity(it goes back to identity) We’ll be paying and trading with our identity or whom we are. This isn’t humans as the product, but more abstract.
