I like the way I feel after reading a novel. My inner dialogue is observant and clear. It has words for things and processes things one after the other. Stark contrast to when I’m terminally online. I feel comparably distracted, absent, nonlinear and reactive.

I feel that way too. It’s because I fall for the characters and the story ending makes me feel like the characters are “gone”.
