I don’t say this flippantly, but I’ve always been surprised (though glad) that assassinations are not more common. It doesn’t seem that hard for a single person to pull off with some thought and planning, and even easier for a militant organization or state actor. Drones will likely make it even easier.

Same, especially for drones I would have unfortunately expected them to be used for worse things, given their ubiquity and ease of use. I assume there’s some factor I’m missing, but haven’t found an explanation yet (Also recognize my US-centric take- they’re used in active warzones today, but that makes the question even more confusing)
