I'm currently working on my portfolio, but I keep postponing it. I'm such a perfeccionist, and when you're a designer this is absolutely a drawback. I have a hard time doing it because since I have no design graduation, my technical skills are developed as I design - which makes me a completely different professional within the range of months. It's all about how much I design. I promised myself I would have arts posted on insta/behance by march. It's my only yearly goal failed so far. Yea, this is troublesome and I have to get it done. Since all my clients come from other client's indications (for sure the best type of client), I never really cared about my portfolio. Nobody ever asked for it. Instead, they prefer to see what were my jobs, so I made this non-code website https://dumpl.ink/emidesign.

I'm definitely a paper person. I tried SO MUCH to be a digital tool individual, but ADHD makes me open a new tab for every single thing and instead of designing I end up researching complex concepts of the brandbook. I also believe things are much simpler on paper, if we do it all on Photoshop or Illustrator at first we can make it much more complex than what is needed. Like once I made a job for Campari and spent lots of hours analyzing their visual hierarchy, distribution of space, alternative colors (Campari Academy color scheme is different from Campari) and all of this instead of doing a simple art. When I have to do brandings I also prefer to draw/sketch it all on paper. I only go digital when I have at least the style/structure defined.

Purely digital. However, my process is different for different assets, let me take you through the process of creating a brand My high-level process looks something like this: - Nail down the "vibe" I want to go after. - Once I have the vibe around my final outcome, I try and create a vibe with a combination of "things already present" and "things I create" – I often try to nail down things like marketing tones, communication and what the end-perspective of the brand would be - Rest is me experimenting vertically to see how that looks it's a chaos, but chaos is what you need for emergent creations 😄

I’m an analog guy, all the way. I prefer to write almost everything down, from notes to logo sketches to IAs, and bring things to digital to add organization/fidelity and to distribute to others. For research and product design work, however, I find that I often reach for Figma first. This is some initial exploration for my Atmo Studio logo, done while solo traveling in Berlin this February.
