@purple fam, I have people still asking me about essay contest entries. Since it’s paid for by a grant from @purple, I want to ask y’all. Are you okay with me making the submission rolling? They’re already punished by not being on the voting list yet and i think more viz is worth it, but want the team input

I believe that’s a good call. Love the idea of more people dropping knowledge.

Could also be a cool game play where the SayMore + Purple essay contest content builds on itself, and there is eventually category (eg SayFarMore) for winners whose essays explicitly build off / reference other SayMore + Purple essays

Maybe late adds are a separate round of votes? Maybe @purpler will retro-fund the round 2 prize 🤔😁

Sounds good! May be worth checking if ppl that’ve already submitted are okay w it (or just notifying, in case they wanna edit/improve a last minute submission?) but I imagine they’d be fine w it too

Totally okay with this. Partially bc it’s a forcing function for me to finish the essay I started last minute but couldn’t finish/submit before the deadline, but mostly bc I want to see more essays that otherwise might not be published
