Yes. When you are part of a class that people assume to be stupid, they will always assume you don't deserve where you're at. DEI just makes this WORSE With regard to the Woman Problem I've come to the conclusion that one viable solve is to simply just start working as a man. Just rewatched my 2023 bogota devcon talk on hypercomplexity and it’s interesting how a lot of it explicitly foreshadows the current d/acc conversation, though I took care to underline that my hypercomplexity model is not a flavor of accelerationism. It also prefigures a lot of the ideas landscape SoP has since mapped out much better. This is like the blurry photos of Pluto from before the new horizons mission supplied better ones. I hope I get a chance to do an updated version of this talk soon. I have a lot more to say, and several pieces of this have been significantly revised. But I’m surprised how well the big ideas still track and the main contours remain unchanged.
