One question that I sometimes ponder, is how the reaction globally would have been different if the COVID lab leak was accepted closer to the fact; likely would have required a willingness on China to allow better on the ground fact finding etc… How would have governments reacted toward China? https://x.com/jeninyounesesq/status/1901254899008205026?s=46&t=TVy9rDl3UkuxmVj4e18bOA

You have to look at where the good faith arguments to understand the virus’ origins met with the bad faith arguments attempting to politicize that information. From that politicalization emerged a significant rise in violence targeting Asian people.

If the lab leak theory was accepted earlier there would have been increased demands for transparency from China heightened diplomatic tensions potential sanctions and a greater focus on biosecurity and international cooperation this could have significantly impacted global politics and public health strategies

It was probably a joint-venture with the US and chinese. Otherwise this would have been exposed a lot sooner.

What a convenient thing to run when trump is trying to ramp up China tarriffs. I agree with the other guy who casted though it would of set back global cooperation greatly
