It was probably a joint-venture with the US and chinese. Otherwise this would have been exposed a lot sooner.

my conspiracy is it wasn't about killing off humans, just about damaging enough genomes so the parts of society that can afford gene therapy will see better results. effectively locking in rich and poor. create a false need for genetic modification
