~50% of people donā€™t have an inner monologue. do you? when does it happen for you, or is it 24/7?

I have the Apple #4 version of an inner monologue. I don't get it when people say they actually "hear" themselves vividly.

Very interesting, so you hear an actual voice "in your head" that's speaking as if you were speaking out loud?

yes my inner voice and outer voice are almost exactly the same nonstop no real distinction between them thatā€™s why i canā€™t shut the fuck up most times except when i know i should think before i speak but even then

Could probably draw a solid correlation between volume of inner voice and not thinking before speaking. Iā€™ve never been great at modulating the spoken word, not so much that Iā€™ll dominate conversation, just more that I donā€™t play chess with words, just let ā€˜em flow, somewhat unhinged. I could be wrong, yet I think the ā€œslow to edit or gateā€ your words may stem from confidence to a degree.
