I’ve long thought the place where payment tech is most likely to convert from the corporate level are gas stations and grocery stores which already have well established loyalty programs and where low margins make shaving .5% on fees makes for a big difference. They also have the power to encourage customer adoption. Whose talking to Market Basket?
