Look in the replies to that chart before you take it as gospel. Love Balaji but he has an agenda (make America look as bad as possible at all times)

Don’t know nearly anything about balaji. Just glanced at the replies… there’s some interesting considerations re purchasing power if you go back long enough and of course the gold standard I don’t think of inflation in American terms, as we’ve generally had it the best over the past half century. And we’re blessed on so many fronts, including a natural resource base of plenty.

There’s one that may have been hidden re: chart crime with the x-axis 😂 Balaji has such interesting ideas on one had but you really have to be careful esp if bear (hello me too) because he literally can’t, for reasons not fully clear to me, say anything positive about 🇺🇸 and uses data accordingly. Broadly speaking he is the most bearish of all; he believes the East is ascendant
