I think a lot is hanging on whether or not all these threatened sanctions become reality or not. I'm sure I'm wrong but my guess based on the cycles is we see a year or so of continued "good times" before the cracks start crumbling and it falls apart in spectacular fashion. Tariffs could be a big part of that or it could be something else I'm not even thinking of.

Just glanced at the replies… there’s some interesting considerations re purchasing power if you go back long enough and of course the gold standard 

I don’t think of inflation in American terms, as we’ve generally had it the best over the past half century.  And we’re blessed on so many fronts, including a natural resource base of plenty.

Look in the replies to that chart before you take it as gospel. Love Balaji but he has an agenda (make America look as bad as possible at all times)
