This was already de facto the case with X shareholders owning 25% of xAI (in addition to having largely the same core group of investors in both companies). Simplifies the revenue story and makes it easier to handle the debt if the story is frontier AI model with subscriptions and a social network attached. I wonder how much of that was a negotiating tactic (with the best negotiation being that youre willing to walk away) this guy is really good at succeeding with high EV risks
