Same things that make me think Farcaster is promising:

- Open source
- Protocol based
- Pro Intellectual Freedom
- Strong technical ability

I was burned heavily by YC/HackerNews/Reddit and will put much effort into building on closed platforms going forward. I am happy to put my time into helping the Farcaster ecosystem grow but need to hedge my bets and want to make sure I align with the right team.
