New feed algorithm adjustment idea: boost casters who reply more Because it sucks writing out a thoughtful reply only to be completely ignored, and this is definitely a thing I've noticed with some people. Hmmm... Do I need Dune receipts for the above claim?

well i think they look at your casts to determine who gets the boosts would they have to start checking comments to determine who deserves it? i feel it’s what you cast that they want seen by more people, not replies it’s not a bad idea though… just my opinion

I'm saying keep the current algo but add a little boost based on how likely the caster is to engage back with you, should you comment... I guess part of the issue is most people lurk, and the algo is tuned towards that kind of engagement (views, maybe reactions) and less so towards replies

There is also still algo ordering and priority mode for reply threads that pushes replies down if you aren’t being followed by the OP unless you have a power badge (yeah… still a necessary thing for lots of engagement here). So that’s why a lot of my replies are never seen and reacted to. I just got my badge back yesterday, but have been without it for a month and it still makes a huge difference even if they say it is “gone”. I would like to kill that priority mode one based on social score and just push down few word replies and elevate longer ones. Though still have to deal with bots, at least that would help a little with surfacing the more thoughtful things.

Find me the funding and I'll write you a new client, with open feed algorithms you can plug 'n play 🙏
