but the blockchain isn't what makes it different really it's the mechanism of micropayments (and collecting)

Collecting doesnโt hold up when most people never look back at or have any use for the things theyโve collected Wallets have become junk drawers and thatโs largely because people just mint a bunch of stuff and forget about it because they donโt really value it that highly since they only paid 30 cents for it

i think you are right in most cases as of now but doesn't mean it's not "valuable" to the person when you have abundance, you won't be checking things everyday just like bookmarking regardless this is a new way for creators to get paid and for people to own a piece of something, there is def something there imo

1. Most people never look back at bookmarks, those are also a junk drawer (unfortunately) 2. I completely agree that minting is great for creators (theyโre getting paid!), I just donโt think the reason why people should mint (collect) has been cracked and any minting behavior right now is outlier data due to a) early adopter generosity and b) speculation

that's my point about bookmarks - but people still do it, why? bc people like to save things (or collect) personally i love to mint things on zora w/o speculation of flip, just to collect it's patronage in a way too ofc hmm got me thinking about minting behavior now tho
