I worry about the long-term sustainability of this sentiment. I pay for software services (e.g., Todoist) because I know that, while the services I use are cheap to maintain, they also aren't free. Farcaster using purchasing of storage slots not only helps reduce spam, but is also important for funding the protocol.

I've paid for the bankless subscription for a few years because I really enjoy their stuff. TBH the main benefit is that it kept me from selling during the bear market, so it's had a good ROI.

I started with ~$30/month to buy cheap NFTs and support projects. It turned indirectly into a lot of free $degen, which now justifies server bills, subscriptions + freelance service providers now. You don't need to spend anything to start receiving value from Farcaster. Normalize putting some back into the community
