Because of RL, I haven't been able to introduce myself sooner, 🙏 so I made a short video with some of my work to do it. I'm Yatima which it's not my real name, and I'm not a girl 😅 . I live in Spain, and out there I work in VFX. In here, I do whatever I like to have fun, mostly 3D animation using simulations as a base. Music credits are "Tormenta Mental" by Lÿ & Sersoul. Beautiful song. 🖤 If you don’t mind, I’d also love to hold a little contest for those watching this cast who are already familiar with my work. In the video, there’s a snippet from a piece I’ve never shown before. I’s the only one not for sale, and in fact, it’s not even finished. 500 DEGEN to whoever can tell me which one it is. 😁 🖤

Companion Movie · 2025 · ★★★☆☆ Human emotions, and especially love applied to sentient machines, are a fascinating topic and relatively well explored in science fiction. This is particularly true in literature, though there are also great examples on screen, such as Ex Machina or the excellent series Humans, as well as the original Äkta människor. Companion plays with the same theme but takes a different approach: black comedy. In any case, it’s best to go into the film without knowing too much, as it gradually reveals its cards. Interesting, highly entertaining, and featuring strong performances from most of the cast.

Hard at work in the backstage. 🛠️ For the past two years, I’ve been creating and refining a style where I use particles to mimic moving textures. In this video, there are over 10 million particles that, when connected through curves, flow across 3D surfaces. It's all moving geometry, zero textures. 😁 Until now, I had to rely on rather tedious (and slow) hacks to transfer these simulations from Houdini to Blender. Just the geometry of an animation like this could result in files ranging from 20 to 50GB. A single project eats between 100 and 200Gb of storage. 😅 After a lot of work and time invested, I’ve finally managed to build a more stable, functional, and, most importantly, fast bridge between the two applications, significantly reducing the time I need to go from 0 to 100. At least a 50% in almost every front. That's huge! Sometimes, the effort is truly worth it. 🖤

While testing new tools, I discovered MMAudio, and I’m honestly blown away. 🤯 It’s an AI that analyzes a video and generates audio for it. You can guide it with a prompt, but it’s not necessary. The best part? If you don’t want to pay for the commercial version and have some technical skills, you can install and run it locally with a decent GPU (>8GB VRAM, I think). It's fast! Here’s a quick example. What do you think? 'A Way Out'

In a time when AI generated actors do nothing but move in slow motion, staring at the camera with those dead fish eyes, I want to highlight the work of human actors and actresses. Prodigies like this are beyond the reach of machines. Except for the crew behind the camera, everyone else was drunk af. 🤣 🤣 'Star Drunk' Please, if you like it, take a look at their yt channel. There you can find, "Dead Drunk", "Super Drunk" and some others, behind the scenes and a lot of drunk stuff. I had to trim a little the video to fit the 5min limit here.
