Being a customer is an extremely web2 thing

In the crypto space, no one wants to feel like a customer - it’s about community ownership

I pay for one thing in the crypto space and that’s Warpcast - and if you’ve tried to onboard people, you’ve probably seen friends even balk at that

Everything else I use is completely free

You don’t need to pay for anything in this space to do well

I worry about the long-term sustainability of this sentiment. I pay for software services (e.g., Todoist) because I know that, while the services I use are cheap to maintain, they also aren't free. Farcaster using purchasing of storage slots not only helps reduce spam, but is also important for funding the protocol.
