Farcaster earning posts need a marketing push outside of crypto twitter how do you push the idea that you can just post things and make money to the mainstream?? Instagram ads could be a good bet imo. very under indexed by most crypto companies

Totally agree that new users should be targeted outside the same same crypto twitter bubble, for example also on Instagram (though I think many will still drop off during onboarding and or due to no connections afterwards). With earnings there’s a decent path to onboard influencers though which will bring some of their following from other platforms.

Because you can't just post things and make money: - you have to actually get engagement to earn Warpcast rewards. - Warpcast rewards are a fixed reward pool, so more ppl join the less there is to go around - tipping ecosystems are a pump and dump so anyone onboarded into those systems "pumps" it temporarily so bag holders can dump. This perpetuates the "scam" narrative that pushes mainstream away. I seriously believe we cannot onboard the mainstream with this narrative. It only works to activate the existing crypto-native users while we try to build a culture of quality content in parallel. If all we do is push "post and make money" all we'll get is grifters, farmers, and scammers.

I think the reason why this doesn't get traction on non-natives is that everything looks like a scam here, then there's the other step, semi-native who want to get the money and run, and there's plenty of them that ruin our reputation farcaster is doing a good job in slashing them but other socials will get you overwhelmed in a minute, people just want to be simps there, it feels safer

Promoting it on instagram is a good idea But I balk at any advertising. It should be organic, like it is on Twitter, I mean X

Word of mouth is probably the best best, people don't generally post on Instagram because of monetization features and if you go chasing that as a selling point you probably end up with very low quality users

i think today's strategy is to focus on crypto natives , hence CT should suffice.... but interesting take @ted would love your thoughts on this.

Yes, there needs to be the equivalent of the "Share Image" for casts. A summary. A 'Wrapped'.

If creators knew they could monetize without sponsors, they’d flood in. Farcaster just needs the right distribution.
