What’s better for humanity by and large? One person with all the wealth and a grand vision for how to use it? Or using all that wealth to nurture the rise of many talented individuals in the world primed with wild imaginations and resources to tackle humanities largest problems?

the laws of the universe seem to indicate that while monolithic accumulation is natural (planets, stars), it is destructive at large scales (black holes), and that diversity of potential is necessary for the chance at complexity (evolution of life)

Makes me think of how humans are the only species that would consider 1. In the real world everything is interconnected in various forms of symbiosis, bringing about humility. Sometimes I think humans have been dropped on Earth as an experiment to see what happens when you place a species like us amongst the others.

We need many talents otherwise when the 1 person dies where will we be? 😅 no one ever talks of the person who succeeded King Arthur (though fictional). With many talents there can also be checks and balances that you're not going to get with 1 person.
