Yes, Kumquat provides me and 10 or so others 3-5 blind samples each month to brew taste and score. The use our combined feedback to choose the coffees to showcase in the next monthly coffee club box (subscription) with a sheet showing our scoring and tasting experiences.

They are from a roaster that is not revealed to us until after the top coffees are chosen. Kumquat is a multi-roaster shop so it could be from one of 20 or so roasters.

gm gm! I getting those samples directly from a roaster? What’s the scoop?

its all arabica but I dont know the origin or roaster its a blind evaluation…

I do these every month. Only tried sample A so far. Might attempt B & C tomorrow. Takes 30 min or so to brew and taste and score each coffee.

Whats the thoughts so far? Love these sample baggies, makes me ready to head out to the cafe for a nice hot cup o joe right now.

Maybe just the lighting but the roasts on all of those look a bit dark…
