If we changed channels to "narrowcasting" i.e. only people who follow the channel will see it in a feed vs. today where all of your followers see all of your casts regardless of channel 1. I would want this for most channels 2. I would want this for some channels 3. I would want this for only a couple of channels

i think #1 will be a classic case of stated vs. revealed preference a lot of people will probably say #1, but then will cry for more distribution everyone in the end will want as much distribution as possible if they don't need distribution it might as well be DC group

That's not always the case. I bet everyone who's not a native English speaker would love to cast in their language, but usually don't because 99% of their followers would be spammed with casts they don't understand.

I agree. I actually don’t think the benefits of narrowcasting outweigh the cons. Aren’t there options to see less of something on your feed and choosing to follow someone or not already? Why do followers have to always be included in every cast? Can that be toggled off on create?
