i moderated a panel on investigative journalism a few years ago and elizabeth nolan brown from reason said something pretty poignant

she writes amazingly well researched, thoughtful, impactful pieces on the war against sex workers, they take a looooong time

when she was writing for one of the feminist outlets in 2014 they could churn out culture war bait on why a car commercial was racist or whatever with relatively low cycle time, often the outlet didn't believe what they were publishing was true but was doing it for the clicks

i think it's a question of whether the individual journalist or the newsroom model will work best, i'd love to see someone take a run at an investigative journalism DAO

moxie is a reward for completed content, that's not investigative journalism

@hypersub more closely matches the subscription model and you'd need to answer the q of 'why would something like pirate wires use moxie instead of subscriptions'

Artifact also “failed” in many ways. I think it had to do with GTM/monetization (I was but a user and outsider)

Admittedly I misspoke (I just know Murtaza is hyper bullish). 

Based on his quote cast - I think a niche focused journalism variant built on the pure interaction tooling you have could work. 

Basically pick up where Artifact left off with Farcaster as the backbone. 

Don’t think it will or should exist in Warpcast.
