Introduce a very obscure TV drama I've been quite idle lately, so I've been flipping through the curb and looking at it again. This drama is about the mundane life of a very bitchy old man. But super high, at first it felt boring, but the more I watched it, the more funny it became. Larry David is also well-known in the United States, and his book "Sienfield" became popular throughout the mainland. This one has 10 seasons, highly recommended

NOSFERATU (2024) is a work of genius. I’ve been thinking a lot about how difficult it is to capture dream states in art, and oh my, Eggers nails it. I can only easily talk about it after you’ve seen it. The dream is the rawest anti-rational human experience; it is to art what thought is to speech. The theme of this film is the possibility of the occult in a world of reason. It is not convincing, but it is compelling. The speech is wonderful, with a slow, playfully Shakespearean dialect prevailing and the villain speaking in a Gothic Latin. There are many one-liners I could immediately recall, here’s a couple (both from an absolutely peak Willem Dafoe): “I have seen things in this world that would make Sir Isaac Newton crawl back into his mother’s womb… I have wrestled with the devil as Jacob wrestled with the angel.” “In another age you would have been a Priestess of Isis. In this modernity, you must be something much more… our salvation.”

this is a great post! (and as an aside, I love that people in web3 are asking “what can our work learn from cities?” which feels very different from the 2010s web2 refrain “what can cities learn from our work?”)
