I don't understand, you think the launch of $tTRUMP is a negative event? And one that hurts the community as a whole? We've been bringing lawsuits against the USA's most successful, and impactful crypto companies, while they've been doing everything in their rights to comply with cryptic laws. Essentially causing companies and investors to leave the country. The SEC actions brought over the past 4 years have been disastrous for the democrats. @dwr.eth mentioned it yesterday and i think summed it up really well. and so did @matthewb Everything that can be tokenized, will be tokenized. The biggest thing holding back crypto rn as an industry, is the regulation in the US. Sure, the timing isn't ideal if we're talking about optics...but I honestly think this discussion is much bigger then just optics. Hence why democrats all through out the industry have pivoted to support someone, that supports them.

yes, i think it's hugely negative! if i had to choose between regulating crypto, or pandering to a criminal who has sexually harassed women and wants to strip back women and trans rights, i would choose regulation any day, 1000x times over. idc how far crypto as an industry / community goes if it's at the expense of other peoples' wellbeing and human rights.

What about the rights and wellbeing of the founders, employees, and investors? What about the rights of the people who's bank accounts have been closed, either due to having a transactions related to a crypto exchange/company, or having coming from a crypto business? Are those rights not important? Non-cryptic digital asset regulation and Womans/Trans rights aren't mutually exclusive. One could also argue that Woman and Trans rights are better today then they've ever been. For the first time in history, there are woman in 22 out of 250 cities in the US earning more then there male counterparts. (I haven't heard anything about stripping rights btw.) Then looking at the crypto industry, the legislation, and regulatory clarity, is at an all time low, still resulting in major consequences for parties like debanking, and wells notices. The risks of continuing to restrict crypto regulations include talent migration, tax migration, business migration, and a massive loss of economic opportunities.

of course rights for employees are important, and I too would prefer to have a decentralised financial system (hence the reason why i'm even in the space to begin with), but the difference here is that the world has lived and can live without crypto, whereas humans rights are fundamental. Trump's administration is notoriously sexist, homophobic and transphobic, so once again, i would prefer that crypto is regulated, and maybe in the future there will be a better candidate who is more open to freeing up opportunities for crypto *without* the heinous prejudices, rather than have crypto regulated RIGHT NOW (and let's be real, mostly for profit motive) at the sacrifice of many people's safety.
