Apps can send a push notification to users via a centralized api. However, users can specify on an on-chain registry which centralized api to send notifications to. If you were a user / web3 app dev, would you use this? (2/2)

Won’t this be captured by majority wallet or WalletConnect? With wallet connect if you scan QR code you already get notifications for approvals

Arguably you can protocolize the client implementation / open source the SDK. Subscriptions can be stored onchain / in a Farcaster-like sufficiently decentralized manner. Then any wallet app can offer the bridge between your app and the Apple/Google/email apis to deliver notifs.

This is a big prob / opportunity Blockfolio kinda had audience for tokens to push too pre acquisition I support epns who has been building in this space But still lots to do “Sufficiently decentralized” is good start but I’m bias

Pretty much the biggest focus this cycle. Can't do growth and re-engagement without notifications. That's why we see people working on: - identity (wallet -> identity -> where to send the message) - messaging (wallet to wallet like email) - push notification (EPNS)
