I'm seriously contemplating setting up an ETH validator. Any casters doing it already?

Do it. It’s not too hard and surprisingly fun. I use nethermind and prysm on hetzner, with the worlds jankiest monitoring. uptimerobot pointed at the beaconcha.in “is your validator running” page

yup used an Intel NUC, 16GB ram, and running dAppNode as the OS. Makes it fairly easy. Some hiccups after the merge but figuring it out. Has run carefree for a year or so. I have a 2TB NVMe in there but I’d actually suggest doing a smaller drive for OS and 3TB+ for data

I’m pretty close to committing to a 16eth mini node on RocketPool and hosting it on AllNodes. Looks like a 0 maintenance solution path.

I've done it! This was the cost of my parts. It definitely can be done much cheaper (1. you can use cheaper CPUs + mainboard) 2. I bought parts during chip shortage) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gzSfeR6vN1eKt4VRGyMp8hMdrl0oZmeaOVF10HDgljc/edit?usp=sharing
