3- Here's what I learned:

Verify Credentials and PoW: Always ask for a portfolio.

Seek Recommendations: Ask trusted friends if a person is credible before committing.

Avoid Paying Upfront: Only pay upfront if you really trust them. Negotiate payment terms, such as half now and half upon completion.

4- I probably won't get the money back, and though it's a small amount, the dishonesty really bothered me. If other designers have tips on avoiding this situation, please share. Your advice could help someone else.

2- He never completed the job and constantly made excuses about being sick. Faced with a deadline, I asked him to return the money and stopped working on this project. He then  promised to return the money within a month but never did. It's been three months now 😅 !

Dang that’s tough. So disappointing when you put your trust in someone, trying to do a good thing, and they turn around on you. 

But that partnership just wasn’t meant to be. You’ll land it with a designer who will bring your vision to life!
