Crypto really is low status and trashy. It has afforded me a lot of opportunity but it’s also embarrassing and not something I am excited to tell people about

It’s embarrassing because it’s so trashy idk Even when it’s not explicitly a scam or a rug pull it’s just got a veneer of ick

I agree, but also, you'll agree that crypto has not always been like this. I mean, let's take a trip down the memory lane, back to 2016-17,18,19,20. From the ICO era, to the onset of DeFi etc. Before the era of Uniswap, dex launchpads/IDOs and the apparent existence of memecoins. Crypto has always been beautiful, what we believed to be a wealth redistribution platform. You know what happened? Evolution! crypto has evolved, not positively, but it has.

Sorry, but I have to disagree here. I think crypto has always been extremely ugly and devoid of any aesthetic beauty. Even the early Bitcoin logo has been ugly ever since. And the launch videos with Vitalik during the Ethereum ICO phase are among the most ugliest promotional resources that a startup has launched. Seriously. If you move outside of crypto into other culturally relevant circles like art or music and other spaces, you will be astonished how many beautiful things there are, how many beautiful people that roam these spaces. Crypto is so incredibly ugly in terms of its surface-level properties. It's hard to put in words, especially considering how much money has flown into it.
