different POV: my family, friends, and former colleagues all think *better* of crypto because i work in it and have strong conviction about the technology yes, they're still a little icked but less so because of me i bet @nick could say the same believe in the power of good, kind, interesting (crypto) people

It all depends on how strong are your beliefs, your communication with your family and also your oratory. But sometimes there are some battles not worth fighting for.

this reply implies that there is a battle to be fought, when i don't see it that way at all i don't wake up and try to convince my network on the power of crypto i wake up, i work hard, i show up for my family and friends, and i do my best to live a good life that is more convincing to them than anything i'd say

I believe families are complex, and each individual's relationship with their family can vary greatly. When I refer to "battles not worth fighting," I mean classic verbal arguments. I completely agree that actions speak louder than words, especially when the other side isn't widely open to discussion.
