i would consider this to be a thoughtful reply that leads to further engagement, but after replying it went below the fold and it felt kinda shitty because i'm not sure if OP will even be notified of my reply (whether or not that is true is besides the point)

this is my first time replying in a while because after the channel changes i have generally been deterred by the fact that i am not a member of the channel that OP casted in

perhaps it would make sense for replies from users that OP follows to always show above the fold - regardless of their channel membership status

What about replies of people you follow to always go above the fold?

also I just replied here and it got hidden again, it's just too much hiding...

why hide my own replies 😂 😅

and it happens usually deeper into replies of replies etc.

they still have control, members still show up higher, but people you follow/friends could be shown under, at least without an extra click?

for channel owners, they won’t see the same replies you will under those from members

maybe it’s just weird while the channel changes are still recent

1. Channels are spaces run by individuals groups
2. Not giving them control gives them less incentive to invest in their channel—defeats the "my channel, my rules" shift
