the more you get paid at a job the worser conditions are know so many people in the $250-700k range that are raking it in but man they have no life and their managers treat them like shit

golden handcuffs innit though tbh i think a lot of tech jobs at like big tech and unicorns are both high paying and pretty enjoyable your cast i think applies to more trad roles in finance consulting etc.

Meh I’ve had those jobs, my friends and ex partners all have had those jobs, would say only 25% of them enjoy their job

I'd think it largely comes down to whether they're in a position to either a) have agency in determining what they work on (so basically execs, vps) b) really feel a sense of purpose in achieving the mission of solving the problem (which, let's be honest, how many tech workers actually believe their SaaS will save the world)
