Other ideas for useful NFT communities 1) proof-of-skill: complete a technical exam in a given area to earn a proof-of-skill NFT. 2) proof-of-diet: post videos of eating healthy food to earn NFTs & get social reinforcement. In each case moderators review the submissions, maintain the leaderboard, and award the NFTs.

My mental model for NFTs is still “meant to be traded”, but this type of use case doesn’t fit that. Do you think it’s more productive to switch the tool for this kind of job to attestations or similar, or just get people comfortable with using NFTs for non-trading use cases?

It'd be cool if owning the private key gave you more power over your space on Farcaster. E.g. what if my private key also determined who is allowed to comment on my replies or who's able to like etc. permissionless social media

Love some of the ideas but… posting pics is not proof. That’s why we’re having NFTs - to verify ownership and provenance, not?

There are gonna be multiple use cases of the tech. The NFTs you are talking about wont fit in the category of collectibles or art and wont be traded for. Soul bound Tokens have a use case here.
