Farcaster solves the fundamental problem with the Fediverse. It uses the blockchain for global, tamper-resistant state. That was the issue that bedeviled Mastodon. Nice thread. I see lots of engagement farming & bots here too (essentially mirroring Twitter) & Iβd consider it very valuable for projects, people to differentiate likes & other actions to determine truly good casts, real users, valuable users, tipping allowances .. > hence interesting for end users in warpcast @dwr.eth as well as apps & tools like /openrank /degentokenbase /lp /wildcardclub

I think, as the dust settles on SocialFi, we're left with no choice but to find an incentive system that keeps the consensus ongoing. although one could argue that Ethereum's self-sustainability inherently makes Hubs cheaper, it's more than fair to also argue that the network has to work out for operators vs community.
