2025 goal is to buy this Dumbbell Tree set from Nike (It looks gorgeous). In order to deserve it I have to be consistent in doing strength training at least until summer (so my goal is buy it in September). I've never done strength training in like 25 years (last time was when I was a rower in my 20). I only run now. Being consistent for me will be a big achievement. The mat and some adjustable dumbbells & barbell from Amazon are on the way, same for a bench. Creatine and whey proteines are already here, I plan to start training in a week or so. This cast is to make me accountable for my resolution.

If you are an iPhone user, I highly recommend using Apple Fitness plus. The strength training & all the trainings are excellent and the rings will help you build the habit. It worked for me. Make sure to set it up goals for a specific amount of exercise per day. I added an Apple Watch about 6 months In and it was a game changer, but not required. My ins company gave it to me. I started working out last February and I’m in better condition than I’ve been in 20 to 30 years. Started with alternating 20 min strength/20 minute Pilates and did 20 min treadmill or outdoor runs every day. I’ve now started doing calisthenics/body weight training and almost wish I had started with that. I think the Pilates really helped with preventing injuries and building my core. You don’t need a full dumbbell set. Start lighter than you think you will need. I’ve slowly graduated to larger and larger weights. For Apple Fitness you need a light, medium, & heavy set. Best of luck to you. Feel free to dm with ?s.

Apple Fitness+ was one of the options. I'm an eager Apple Watch users (for running) and was considering activating the sub to AF+. but I'm not sure I'm the type of persone who like a coach/motivator on video to tell me what to do... maybe I only have to try. do you have a training / instructor on AF+ that you suggest?

For strength, I use Gregg and Kyle. I find they are great for keeping heart rate up while also doing great strength workouts. Definitely give it a shot. I am very independent minded, but I also didn't want to spend hours trying to find best practices, etc. I've gotten used to the coaching and actually like it now. For Pilates, I like both the instructors, but Darryl really pushes it much harder and I feel like I am building muscle while getting great stretching in. I started without resistance bands and then added them, because then I can control the amount of strength training I do. These are the bands I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A58FH9K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
