To each their own. plenty of good people who used the job as a way to go on to accomplish good meaningful things. “Sell my soul” is histrionic imo

I agree that everyone forges their own path. I would never trade in my time and effort for a low ROI.

Personally, I just can’t visualize positive impact I’ll bring to the world through consulting or investment banking.

What would Napoleon, the Founding Fathers, or even Elon say about this?

I worked in consulting for 2 years. Fred Ehrsam worked in banking.

FWIW, I find more value in 80hr work weeks in a tech startup than corporate America.

Maybe, but finding the right startup to work for is much harder than simply picking GS or Mck
