The year is 2049. Ethereum has become the de facto settlement layer of the world. Over 75% of all financial transactions globally take place on DeFi rails. Tokenized assets routinely exchanged over the Ethereum blockchain include real estate, vehicles, and most of the world’s securities. SpaceX has successfully placed Ethereum nodes on the Moon and Mars for maximum redundancy at the request of the United Nations. Bitcoin is now a novelty wrapped ERC-20 token after the last ASIC miner shut down. Nineteen OECD countries have chosen Ethereum L2s for their CBDC, and more have announced their intention to retire physical fiat accordingly. Six billion people have an Ethereum wallet holding their biometric identity in the form of soulbound tokens. Half of them use it to receive UBI or other government benefits. Vitalik has won the Nobel prize for economics and was named Times person of the year for the second time in a row. ETH is crabbing between $70 and $80 and has been doing so for the last five years

Are the Martian nodes validating? How do they deal with the speed of light delays? Did we make slot durations longer instead of shorter?? (This is another example why we can't avoid rollups, it allows us to deal with varying timeframes.)
