Do you consider religion a meme?

Absolutely, as far as the textbook definition goes (โ€œA meme is an idea, behavior, or style that spreads by means of imitation from person to person within a culture and often carries symbolic meaning representing a particular phenomenon or themeโ€).

Do you think a meme can carry its weight forever without any logical gravitation to it?

As in, can a meme survive forever if itโ€™s not rooted in some kind of truth or evidence? IMHO the enduring faith-based beliefs (e.g., religions) are still based on some universal truths They just built an entire narrative (& often verbose) scaffolding around those truths in the form of fables, legends, parables, etc

And thatโ€™s because story telling is an insanely powerful, memetic medium through which those truths impregnate our minds and perpetuate themselves. I casted about this the other day: https://warpcast.com/aviationdoctor.eth/0xee6169a6
