There’s a demand market for speed. There’s also a market for trustlessness / resilience / Lindyness / credible neutrality. And there’s a market for inexpensive transactions. Ethereum is well positioned for all three

The winning proof system will be fast, not cheap. People are willing to pay for speed, especially if it unlocks interop via real time proving. Whoever gets here first will win, and will make enough $ to invest into making their proofs cheap afterwards.

I should have clarified: only 1% of trade by volume because air cargo is expensive, but 35% by value because air transport is fast, and customers of valuable and time-sensitive goods are happy to pay that premium.

Either metric volume or weight of the cargo

Air cargo tends to be small and light relative to land or maritime cargo

Explains all the Qatar Cargo planes at the airport during F1 events. LAX had 3 at a time refueling after Vegas.
