Manifesting a sub 23 minute 5k today.
Leg hurts. We will see if I beat my pr

23:42 not quite there yet. Messed up my pace early on, and was dying on mile 2.

So proud of my wife who came in 2nd for the her age group and 8th overall for women with 23:37 
(I was right behind her!)

Terrible at pacing. If I didn’t have a watch to at least get me close I’d be lost

The natural gauge comes eventually. Great time if you’re not much of a runner in general.

My wife and I have been grinding at it for about a year now, building up our base etc. we haven’t don’t many fast races like this yet though.

Do you guys have Park Run? Really handy in the UK for a weekly free 5km event.

Shame. They were kicked off here as a bit of a national health initiative. Free to enter, you get a time, ran in local parks by volunteers and you can run/walk however you want to get round. 

My local one has 500 people at it every Saturday.

If it exists around here I need to find it, sounds like a fun time.
