23:42 not quite there yet. Messed up my pace early on, and was dying on mile 2. So proud of my wife who came in 2nd for the her age group and 8th overall for women with 23:37 (I was right behind her!)

Yeah, and I’m newer to running so I’m Terrible at pacing. If I didn’t have a watch to at least get me close I’d be lost

My wife and I have been grinding at it for about a year now, building up our base etc. we haven’t don’t many fast races like this yet though.

Shame. They were kicked off here as a bit of a national health initiative. Free to enter, you get a time, ran in local parks by volunteers and you can run/walk however you want to get round. My local one has 500 people at it every Saturday.
