over the past couple months, I’ve become increasingly convinced that protocolized DCs are THE unlock that Comm needs an open platform means that network effects can work in our favor instead of against us

the Comm team has spent the past 8 years developing a really differentiated private messaging app but we’ve never been able to nail our GTM. network effects and switching costs have always been our biggest challenge

since joining Farcaster I’ve gotten more and more bullish about its future. at this stage in its life, I think I can do the most to push it forward from the inside, working at Merkle my initial focus is going to be on improving DC quality in Warpcast, but I’m really excited about protocolized DCs

what Farcaster has going on right now is really unique - a community aligned around shared values of digital sovereignty - a talented group of devs building a shared, open infrastructure together - a user base willing to try new things (and sometimes even pay for them!)
