This tweet demonstrates the intellectual bankruptcy of the left. Once you're already at the worst possible description you lose a sense of nuance or daylight between Trump's policy and Harris'. The practical result is full ethnic cleansing and 1,000s of lives. https://x.com/NathanJRobinson/status/1886937360920666438

Yes for sure but also demonstrates the failure of democrats to recognize that, for many reasons, voters didn’t see a difference and so they didn’t show up. I feel less inclined to blame voters and more inclined to hold the Democratic Party for failing to speak on things voters care about

It's a democracy not every voter thinks Israel is committing a genocide and many are in full support of them. Balancing a position in order to win an election is required in a democracy.

Not “thinking Israel is committing a genocide” is being is being, as you put it, intellectually and morally bankrupt. The entire world could verify they are. So hold the critiques of the left. Especially since, as every data point has already shown, they aren’t responsible for Harris’ loss. People didn’t pivot to green in large enough numbers to swing the vote and leftists certainly didn’t vote for Trump. It was middle class, white voters shifting to Trump you can blame. And Biden’s shift rightward, and Kamala’s even further appeal to the right is why they lost. No. Other. Reason.

I think Dems rhetoric on this issue had less to do with some voters' support of Israel, and much more to do with AIPAC and the Israel lobby that influences both parties US has not been a democracy for years, it's a plutocracy that serves special interests

That wasn’t the only issue though. For one Kamala didn’t do a good job differentiating herself. There was very little talk about the things voters care about.. healthcare etc. I watched and watched and saw this coming. When I spoke about it, I got hardcore pushback as if I was voting for Trump. I would never and I wanted Kamala to win Democrats didn’t listen and that’s why they lost. They lost because of the people who didn’t show up, not for the people who voted Trump
