Went to the /allotment this long weekend for an assortment of tasks, mainly starting the prune the apricot tree down to size. All the fruit trees need massive prunes this season, sheesh! Our grape vine is coming along very nicely this year! 😽🍇👌

Looking gorgeous!! I just got a grape for a spot that proved to be too sunny for a mini kiwi. Hope it does well there.

Thanks y0b! Oooh, that's so funny that you mention that! Originally, we grew this beside a kiwi. After a few years of struggling, the kiwi didn't make it, but the grape has absolutely flourished. It's also a sunny spot at our /allotment, so I think it'll do fine for you folks!

Yes seems promising! I was able to transplant the mini kiwi to another spot that is shaded in the afternoon and it's doing much better!

It's weird, because I thought they wanted a nice warm and sunny place. But apparently it wasn't right for that kiwi. Pity, because I think they're lovely plants to grow. Maybe we'll try it again, another season.

I've been mislead by same! Now I know there are different levels of "warm loving", kiwi levels and grape levels! 🫠
