allotment

Went to the /allotment this long weekend for an assortment of tasks, mainly starting the prune the apricot tree down to size. All the fruit trees need massive prunes this season, sheesh!

Our grape vine is coming along very nicely this year! 😽🍇👌

Originally, we grew this beside a kiwi. After a few years of struggling, the kiwi didn't make it, but the grape has absolutely flourished.

It's also a sunny spot at our /allotment, so I think it'll do fine for you folks!

It's weird, because I thought they wanted a nice warm and sunny place. But apparently it wasn't right for that kiwi. Pity, because I think they're lovely plants to grow.

Maybe we'll try it again, another season.

Yes seems promising! I was able to transplant the mini kiwi to another spot that is shaded in the afternoon and it's doing much better!
