Thank mew! Acers are such great plants, love them. Stunning how they change colours in such a vibrant way as the year rolls through.

Many of our acers have perished--wrong plant in the wrong place. But this guy has survived in this position pretty much for 10 years now (it's in a planter).

Definitely look into it! But their leaves are delicate (especially this dissectum variety with the finely split leaves).

So make sure they have decent shade and don't get overly baked, as some rooftops may be prone to!

i've wanted one of these for so long on my nyc rooftop.... maybe this will be the year :)
