vaping

It's now been over 2 years and 3 months that arfy's quit smoking ciggies. Haven't had a single one since I quit cold turkey, and haven't really wanted one tbh.

But I do think I've replaced one habit with another, as I'm constantly intaking nicotine via my e-cigarette throughout the day. At least my house no longer stinks of smoke, and there's no combustion involved.

Anyone else in this situation?

Wow dude, 7 years! That is inspiring! I think the thing that really got to me, was the combustion aspect of cigarettes... it just makes everything so unhealthy and toxic.

Nicotine in and of itself... meh, I see it as similar to caffeine. Just as long as you don't overdo it and start drooling uncontrollably. 😹 

But I think it's a very individual thing--some people want to break free completely from all of it, as you did, and I think that's awesome!

Me, I'm a bit of a fidgeter, and I think having/holding something shaped like a cig, has helped immensely with that psychological addiction aspect, too!

Next month will be 7 years for me. I quit it all though, I tried to transition to vapes and ended up back on the cigs.

So I went full smoke/vape free cold turkey! It was hard in the beginning, but once you break free from it, it’s over. I wanted to not be addicted to nicotine either. 

I am not considering using nicotine in moderation via Zyn pouches and/or gum. But definitely not daily 😂

Thanks Fairy! Yeah, I keep meaning to reduce the nicotine strength! Currently I'm around 12mg/ml, I started at around 20. But I've just kinda... stagnated here around 12... maybe it's time to take the plunge down to 6-8.

I'm a fidgety bastard though, and I like the ritual of holding something like a cig (my vape isn't one of those modbox things, more like a cigar)... not sure I'll be able to completely quit it.

Been there! Slowly knock the nicotine % down over time. One day soon your body wont crave it as much and you will put it down one day and not pick it back up

My wife isn't the biggest fan of e-cigs either, but at least I don't have these very strong smelling artificial flavours, just natural tobacco extract which smells... almost of nothing!

I’ve been in the same situation for 6 years. My wife asks me to quit using e-cigarettes as well.

You’re doing great! Quitting cigarettes is already a huge achievement. Maybe over time, you can replace the e-cig too, as it’s also just a habit. One day, you might even switch to burning incense for the nice smoke and give up nicotine completely! Proud of you! 300 $Degen

Get rid of vaping bud. You have no idea what long term effect it will have on your body. If you don't, Eggman will cut off his willy!

I never was a habitual smoker but just a drunk casual so I didn’t have to fight that need, but I do know the feeling of trading one addiction for another lmao
